Read the Bible in 90 Days?

Don't think it can be done? Think again. Members of the Cathedral of Faith Baptist Church in Beaumont and others in the community are participating in the Bible in 90 Days program. The church-wide program was started by Ted Cooper Jr. Here's how it works. Everyday you read 12 pages in the NIV Bible. At the end of the 90 days, you will have read the bible from cover to cover. This only works if you read through it like a novel without stopping to study passages. Church members say it's been transforming. "I think it's great," says Jessie Bingham. "It's really opened my eyes to God's plan." Says Georgia Kinnerson "I think it's a good thing. It makes the bible more interesting and it's not hard to understand." Small groups meet each week to discuss what they've read and review the exercises in the participant's guide. They also watch a video of Cooper in which he gives an overview of that week's scriptures. Other participants include Minister Lorenzo Carr who is the facilitator and his wife Janie, Hattie Wallace, Jay and Shawn Jay Clark, Theo Bailey, Delores Barriere, and Angela Holland.
