Mount Zion Baptist Church in Orange recently celebrated its 138th anniversary at a banquet Thursday at Ware's Plaza. The church is one of the oldest in the Golden Triangle. It is pastored by Rev. C.W. Crawford. Wayne Sparrow, a pioneering journalist in SETX and owner of Sparrow Funeral Home, served as the guest speaker. He was introduced by his son, Justin. The food was great! Kudos to Ms. Rosa Wilson and her committee for a job well done.

ReplyDeleteThe banquest was a success and so was the service on Sunday. We raised $2300 for the banquet. Mrs. Rosa sold the most tickets!!!!!!!!
