The Southeast Texas Mavericks will kickoff their new season with a reception and dinner featuring the legendary Coach Bob Knight as its guest speaker. The event will take place at Ford Arena on Monday, Nov. 16. The team had an exciting year last year and I'm sure it will be even more exciting this year. Last year the stands were pretty empty, but this year I'm hoping that more Southeast Texans will go out and support them. They're a really talented team! For more information, call (409) 951-5440.
