The Beaumont Independent School District is hosting its second annual Education Summit on Saturday, Oct. 10 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be workshops for parents, student entertainment, state of the district address by Supt. Dr. Carrol Thomas, a job fair and a contractor fair. The event will be held at Central Medical Magnet High School, 88 Jaguar Drive. For more information, call (409) 617-5615.
