Beaumont City Councilwoman Nancy Beaulieu has put her hat in the ring for Justice of the Peace Precinct 1, Place 2. Beaulieu has served on city council for six years. She is the second candidate to formally announce her candidacy following Beaumont Attorney Anne Bradley on Monday.
On Tuesday, Justice of the Peace Vi McGinnis who has held the seat for more than 20 years announced she will not seek re-election. The primary election will be held in March.
