Attorney Anne Bradley officially announces her campaign

Beaumont Attorney Anne Bradley flanked by her parents and standing in front of family and friends officially announced her candidacy for Justice of the Peace Precinct 1, Place 2. The announcement took place in the jury impaneling room of the Jefferson County Courthouse.

"Public service is who I am," Bradley said. "I have the legal experience and I care about the needs of our citizens."

The office is currently held by Judge Vi McGinnis. No word yet on whether she will run again. Other candidates who have expressed interest in the job include Harold Garner Sr. and Beaumont City Councilwoman Nancy Beaulieu.

Bradley is the owner of The Law Office of Anne Bradley. She has been practicing law in the State of Texas for nearly six years. Bradley began her legal career as an Assistant District Attorney in Beaumont. She was appointed as Teen Court Judge in Port Arthur and continues to serve diligently. Bradley also served as an Assistant City Attorney for the city of Dallas and Assistant District Attorney of Tarrant County in Fort Worth.

Bradley says as justice of the peace, she would “fight truancy, fight youth illiteracy, treat everyone with respect and dignity, hear cases swiftly and ensure justice is done.”
