NBA Star Leaves Fiancee' at the alter

Did you see this story? NBA Player Richard Jefferson who is now with the San Antonio Spurs reportedly left his fiancee' at the altar. Some published reports say he called off the wedding two hours before it was to start and then left his credit card with his best man so his boys could have a good time. However, Jefferson denies those reports. He told Howard Stern that he called the wedding off on July 5 because he and his fiancee had been fighting alot and had broken up and gotten back together several times. "I was just trying to do the right thing," he says. The wedding reportedly cost $2 million which is something else that Jefferson denies. He says he's giving her a six-figure sum to help her move on with her life. What do you think? Is he a villian here or did he do the right thing (albeit bad timing)?

  1. "If it don't fit don't force it". Evidently Jefferson just wasn't feeling it. Unfortunately marriage is taken so lightly. It is a covenant before God and not just a simple contract/license. We are marrying for all the wrong reasons, spending tons of money (for show) and divorced within a couple of years (if that long). It is not easy but if we do what we do as unto the Lord we can get through it. Villian, No. I think he did the right thing; rather than go forward and not be faithful, I'd rather hurt now than later. Time is precious don't waste it!
