Mike Smith (left) is leaving his job as manager of public relations at the Port of Beaumont and returning to his former employer, the Beaumont Enterprise. In his new position, Smith will serve as a workforce reporter and assist with investigative pieces. He says he missed being a journalist. Once a journalist, it's hard to go to a "normal" job. Congrats and good luck with your new position!
