Hundreds turned out for the Texas Black Pages/Cush Banquet Thursday night at the Compro Event Center in Beaumont. The night included great music by the Clef band, good food, a performance by the Central Medical Magnet High School Band, awards, and a keynote speech by Mr. Gregory. He was very funny and very outspoken to say the least on a variety of topics from Black healthcare to politics. Mr. Gregory is 77 years old and he still has a lot of energy. It was great to meet him and see him. Congrats to Jessie Haynes and Tracie Payne!
