Someone once said that being a journalist is like having a front row seat to history. Well, I've been sitting in that seat for more than 15 years and I want to share the view with you. Front Row will keep you informed of what's really going on in your community and across the nation. Send news tips, pictures, or videos to michellemccalope@gmail.com. I'd love to hear from you!

Angel Tree Brings Smiles
More than 120 children will have a much happier Christmas thanks to members of Cathedral of Faith Church in Beaumont. The church held its annual Angel Tree Program to distribute toys and clothing to children whose parents are incarcerated. Some of the children and their families were on hand to receive their gifts during a reception at the church on Sunday. The other gifts will be personally delivered to the children's homes. Members of the church signed up to sponsor a child. They received a list of the child's clothing size as well as what kind of toys they wanted for Christmas. The program has been in effect for 13 years. Kudos to Rev. Freddie Antoine and his wife, Margaret, as well as the other volunteers who helped to coordinate the program.
