Comedian and Radio Talk Show Host J. Anthony Brown and friends were hilarious last night at the Julie Rogers Theatre. Brown opened the show and performed in between sets of the four other comedians who were all very talented. I had a chance to go backstage and interview Mr. Brown as he prepared for the show. He tells FRONT ROW that he still gets nervous before a show even after more than 30 years in the business. But the stage is still his favorite place to be. "Comedy is my first love," Brown says. "People want to laugh. Times are tough." In addition to performing, Brown is busy opening a club in Los Angeles called the J Spot and he's also working on a "Murder the Hits" CD.
He says he'll continue working on "The Tom Joyner Morning Show" as long as "Tom will have me."
