Jefferson County Commissioner Bo "Everette" Alfred (Precinct 4)will officially kickoff his campaign on Saturday, Jan. 30 at his campaign headquarters at 2625 4th St. in Beaumont. The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The incumbent who has been in the office since 2002 will face Beaumont City Councilman Jamie Smith in the primary election in March. Early voting starts in February. Alfred met with committee members and staff Thursday night to discuss campaign strategy. About the campaign, he says "I feel good.
