Someone once said that being a journalist is like having a front row seat to history. Well, I've been sitting in that seat for more than 15 years and I want to share the view with you. Front Row will keep you informed of what's really going on in your community and across the nation. Send news tips, pictures, or videos to michellemccalope@gmail.com. I'd love to hear from you!

Valero's Morris Carter Retiring
Valero Refinery recently announced that "after over thirty seven years of dedicated service to the Port Arthur Valero Refinery, Morris Carter has elected to retire effective July 30. Morris has been an integral part of the Refinery Leadership Team providing guidance and direction in Safety, Environmental and Public Affairs. Morris’s successes are numerous in championing both change and improvements here at Port Arthur, including permitting numerous refinery expansions. He is also a respected and valuable leader in the local community, serving on several boards and other leadership positions. He was recently recognized for his contributions by having a city street named after him. Morris will be transitioning his environmental and public affairs responsibilities over the next three months prior to his retirement." Morris(shown here with his wife)is a great guy! We wish him the best!
