Former KFDM News Anchor Jackie Simien is returning to TV news. Sources tell FRONT ROW that Simien is the new main anchor at KBMT Channel 12. She will co-anchor the 6 and 10 p.m. with Kevin Steele. She replaces Beverly Brooks. It's one of several changes at the station as new management makes its mark. Reporter Brian Burns will co-anchor the morning show with Tracy Kennick at a new time from 5 a.m. to 7 a.m. Burns will also anchor a new 11:30 a.m. newscast on NBC. Brooks will co-anchor the five with Anchor Deedra Wilson and they will also anchor a 6:30 p.m. on the NBC affiliate. KBMT Channel 12 recently bought the NBC affiliate. The changes will take effect Sept. 16.
